On my old 7.3, when I changed the fuel filter, I would fill the bowl up with Stanadyne for a little shot of extra cleaning for the injectors. I got that idea from the folks in the 7.3 forum, and it was something I did ever time I changed it. Does anyone do that with the 6.0? Just wondering if it's worth it since the upper fuel bowl is so much smaller than the filter bowl for the 7.3.
There's really no point since most of it will go through the regulator and back to the tank. You're supposed to cycle the key three times before starting to remove air and that will remove most of the cleaner also.
I've never done this one mine. Cartmanea is probably right but it will make it through the injectos at some point and you will get a higher concetration initially than if you introduced it at the tank.
BTW - where are you in "Newpert News". I grew up there.
I filled my upper filter bowl with Diesel Kleen last time I changed filters and 10 miles later the truck crapped out. My EGR was clogged in the open position by carbon, could this be related?

If it cycles back to the tank it is not anymore concentrated than adding it to the tank!!
