99 f350 7.3 started up fine and then simply died. Went to restart and noticed no wait to start light and no start. I just changed the fuel filter a week prior and did notice onr of the round tabs was broked off that th fuel bowl heater sits on. I will check the fuse and unplug the heater when im off work. Does the glow plug relay run on the same fuse as the fuel bowl heater? Im in a warm west coast of Canada climate,Do i require the fuel bowl heater or can i simply unplug it. Second time it has left me stranded this year?CPS was just changed last month. Thanks for your help
Would that cause it not to start up? Why would it just die after running for 30 seconds or so? Weather is 45 degrees. Do the glow plugs not get power if the bowl heater fuse is blown?
Thanks again guys, you again saved my wallet a big chunk. I got off work checked the #30 fuse replaced it as it was blown, turned key on , blew fuse again. Then unpluged fuel bowl heater, replaced fuse and away she purred again.
Should i replace the Fuel Filter Bowl element for $$$ or just leave it unplugged?
It rarley dropps any lower than 25 degrees here in Victoria B.C. Canada.
