valve train tick

Has anybody experienced valve train tick when pulling away from a dead stop when engine is up to full operating temperature? I have a 2009 FX4 5.4L with only 3,000 miles.

I'm assuming that noise is fuel injectors? I hear mine at idle.

Very good! But, I think it would be more like a heart throb! Perhaps even palpitations.

Thumbs down Ticking Noise in Ford F150

Our truck is in the shop right now, valve train problems. The sound became louder, then it did not want to idle, was missing really bad, looking at a lot of money for the repairs.

Well its understandable with a new engine design. Wait I guess its 6 years now with the 3 valve heads... Oh well 5.4 dead in a year or two.

What you are probably hearing is the injectors, as someone has mentioned. They got loud after MY04 (or everything else got quieter).. It was a semi-common complaint in the 04-08 forum.

I use the Mobil1 Syn 5w20 with the Motorcraft filter. Knock wood have never had any issues with any of my trucks. Noisy injectors yes.
