Well I'm a bit of a newb to this forum and all, but I JUST got my 09 F-150 today. And well...I didn't have any issues. The truck runs like it should, sounds good, quitest interior ever, and everything is just perfect.
And I mean, I got the XL with 4x4. Not really the fanciest model of truck Ford makes, and I have none of those issues. I just think someone wants to start crap...
And yes, I've driven GM trucks and Toyotas. Really. Nothing compares to what I just picked up today. It's friggen amazing!
I think I remember reading a thread on this a while back. Some were complaining of a vibration in the pedals when the windshield wipers were running. Don't know what to tell you if it's happening all of the time other than to take it back to the dealer and express your concerns.
On another note, I noticed the OP is from Canada. Not knowing much about Toronto or Canada, is it possible that he speaks French and English and may not be as fluent in English as the rest of us? Just a thought. And, we're all a little guilty of keyboard faux pas from time to time.
Good luck with your truck. It is frustrating to have a problem like that and I hope it gets repaired soon. One other thought would be to take it to a different dealer and if you get no resolution there, contact Ford directly and voice your concerns.
Toronto is in the English speaking part of the country, but who says he is now an immigrant from some where else even.

Welcome to FTE. I'd LOVE to see some photos of your XL. I am thinking that might be the trim line I go with. Regular cab? Long bed?
My buddie purchased a Toyota Tundra crew cab and is very unhappy with the ride and has taken it to the dealer 3 times for a tranny issue. He loves the power but wishes he went with GM or Ford. The other issue he found is the rear frame is only C channel and flexes bad on uneven surfaces. He says you can feel the thing twist. That really surprises me cause i thought it was suppose to be a beast of a truck. He did say the engine is very strong and responsive but overall he would have went another route.
This "North Of The Border" frog is stuck with his horrible riding truck for at LEAST another year......then he'll be back to some other vehicle that...NO MATTER WHAT....is from a country that actually has the technological ability to design a vehicle.....
As a Canadian I don't appreciate our comments... On the other hand if he's from Toronto, well then all bets are off and he's got a big bullseye on his back, so at least mock him for that.
I picked up this truck one month ago . It's 4.6 V3 engene Super cab XLT-XTR model. All ok in the truck exept one major problem---- It drives like sh..t!!! The pedal vibrates, sounds from the engen is horrable. At the Ford sarvice nobody cares. I gueess I may officialy congratulate Ford on making me angry with my purchse. Next time I 'd rother try Toyota or GM. If you still planning to by one------ my advise don't!!! This is the worst driving truck ever!

Well, there's the problem right there. The V-3 engine is a real lemon. Sounds bad, runs rough, vibrates the pedal, and just generally drives like ****. That's why they sell very few of them.
