Hi everyone ' I was wondering if anyone could help me . I was going home yesterday and my 77 f250 hi boy sputtered&died choke was closed so I put a wrench in. made it home replaced the fuel filter & found one of my spark plug wires loose. Then went to start but engene turnrd but no spark changed rotor& cap. thankyou.

 

Test for spark at the coil wire. Test for power at the + coil wire and the red wire of the module two wire connector (with key on). Most larger parts stores will test the module for free. Let us know what you find.

my 77 dies a few weeks ago and would not atart back up. I figured I would do a tune up and replaced all the parts and it still would not start, I replaced the module for $20 and about 2 minutes of my time and it runs great again.

I heard the module can give all kinds of weird problems

Thanks for your help it was the control box with the 2 wires. Trucks up& running again. Canadian tire said that they don;t check them out . I just decided to buy one anyways.
