Ah, si the melted wire supposed to go on top of the wire? Cut the melted part of the wire off and insulate the end, this is the fuel heater wire and that gets power all the time the engine is running.

PLC7.3, would you happen to know?
Not sure about the '92-'94 trucks, but mine ain't got no relays on the passenger side front fender. The ECM/PCM/TECA lives inside the cab, either on the left side of the driver's feet or in the middle of the dash over the tranny hump, but not on the passenger side.

Sounds like there is a power loss for some reason with the voltage drop.....check the alternator connections. Could also be the regulator (internal) brushes. Do you get a flickering alt light.

Any loss of power would effect the trans it is electronically controlled. Does the light on the shift stalk illuminate dimly.......that could be a bad TECA relay.
how do you reset the FIPL? apparently when i bled the injecor lines today i didnt do a very good job now my truck is stuck at the movie theatre with 2 dead batteries and air in the injector lines it was fine after i blead them i drove about 20 miles with no problem i parked it for an hour went out started it up made it a mile and it died took a couple min to get started then this happened once no matter how far i pushed the gas it was like it was at idle and then it went again i got to the theatre and when i stopped it was surging at idle i shut it off went in to the movie came out it fired right up and then died i pushed in the shrader valve on the fuel filter and some air came out befor the fuel got there tried starting it and it sounded like it wanted to fire a couple times but would not start this is how i blead the lines i got fuel up to the fuel filter i cracked all the lines loose went in cranked a couple seconds got out tightened the linse that were wet from fuel went back in the truck and cranked came out closed up the rest of the lines and fired it up reved it up to about 2000rpm slowly brought it back down and then back up till it was running normal then let it idle on high idle when it dropped down i drove it did i do it right? or am i getting air back in the lines? oh and after the movie in the parking lot i saw my sopposed best friend with my ex cuz he pulled up to see what was going on that just topped the night off i am pretty sure if my truck was running there would be a nice imprint from my brush guard in the side of his cummins that would have gotten pushed across the parking lot

Fuel shut of solenoid? If that doesn't work then the injector pump won't make enough pressure to fire the injectors.

There is also a throttle shaft sensor (basically a throttle position sensor) on the side of the injector pump that affects the transmission, but not how the engine runs.

oh and did you fix the starting issue? because that sensor could not cause that. It almost sounded to me like you were out of fule , had a restriction in the tank or your lift pump took a dump.

Um unless you have a bigger than stock tank i would say your pickup tube is craked or broken or your sending unit isn't reading right.
