wierd shifting e4od

Good day all!
I seem to be having an issue with my tranny still. I replaced the speed sensor and the tach sensor- got the od light to go out. changed the tranny filter and gasket. the pan was absolutely clean of chunks. I would say normal residue on the magnet. The tranny shifts great for about 20 minutes and then it will start to shift hard between 1 and 2 then eventually hard int 3. then sometimes it will cut out of gear and go back in. If i let off the accelarator pedal it will go back into gear and i might be good for a while. If I keep driving it it seems like it will work through this and start shifting ok. I am wondering if the selenoid pack could be going or the valve pack could be gummed up?

Denny

I am not an expert but I would read the error codes. The computer may knpw what is wrong. You don`t say what year your truck is but after replacing the parts did you disconnect the battery to clear the codes?

I did not clear the codes. I can clear them by unhooking the batteries? Its like a cycle- it starts out shifting great, then after a few minutes it will shift harder, then it will pop out of gear, if i ket my foot off the pedal it will grab and then it will shift fine for a while and start over agai. I would like to check the relays but I dont know where they are! the truck is a 1993

55binder i see you have the same problem as me. i have a 97 f250 power stroke i burnt up reverse when i got stuck in mud hole on hunting trip. i rebuilt the trany and replaced torque converter. that was over one year ago. trany did great till last month when it delaid shift between 1st and 2nd. it would do this intermitently after it got up to operating temp. we toed a jeep 300 miles with no problems till two days ago wile hesitating i lost all gears no go nota. i let truck set and after it cooled it did go into gear. truck has set for 2 days and i have forward and reverse. i have been a diesel mech for 32 years in the MARINE CORPS so i am a little with a wrench but this is kinda wierd. i have been doing some reserch and everythang points ti servo. i will replace o rings and seals this week. if you have fixed your e40d what did it?
