anyone find an answer for stuck cd's? on the 6 cd unit.
i searched for a solution, only found lots of people having this problem, and nobody writing a solution.
when i bought the truck, i didn't have a cd to test it with (repo) later when i put a disc in, it took it, then kicked out another cd that was broken. i mean there was a piece broke off!
now, the cd i put in will not play, and it will not eject.
1) anyone have instructions on how to get the cd out? (maybe the broken piece if it is in there?)
2)anyone know if it's junk?
3) anyone know if it's easy to put a unit in that is the "standard" faceplate size (not the large one that is stock).
Thanks!!!!

removal is just a set of keys (you can pick them up at most places for less than $10 or you can try allen keys or coat hangers, but you'll damage the locks). Push the keys in the holes in the side, and pull the radio out.
It might be repairable, I wouldn't spend much money on fixing it. You can replace it with an aftermarket for a couple of hundred dollars that do pretty everything.
3, with an adapter kit you can put in a single din radio. Ford is using double din, which is the bigger of the three sizes. You might even find an adapter for the chrysler din and a half.
