I have a 99 F250 and I truly believe that my husband is going to put a gun to the radio. The cd player keeps thinking there is a cd in it and it interrupts the radio all the time. It is the most annoying thing when you are on a long trip. I read somewhere that most of the time that this happens there might be something rolling around in the cd player and the eye keeps catching it. If that is not the case anyone have a solution as to what it is and how to fix it?
I had a similar situation with my factory head unit in my 98 explorer and was told that factory units from ford often have these sorts of problems and can only be repaired by sending the unit back to the factory and at a high cost as well. I recomend looking for an aftermarket head unit.
