Cd changer problem ~ Stuck CD
Hi hang, I'm in my most desperate hour, finally, my Explorer came out of the shop but when I tried to put the magazine in (FORD stock 1995 cd system) the CD started to read, all of the sudden, the display read "NO CD".
I noticed trough the peek hole in the magazine that CD three seems half way in it. I hjave read some post regarding how to take the magazine out but what do I need to do in this case that a CD is half way in??
please help!!!
***** UPDATE ******
I just solved my problem... this is what I did:
1.I followed the post on releasing the magazine from the unit using cardboard. (By the way, the release pin is located towards the passenger side)
2. After noticing that this released the magazine but the "halfway in/out" CD didnt returned into place, this CD was avoiding the magazine to come out.
3. I inserted another piece of cardboard, this time was less than an inch wide at the right side of the magazine. Hoping that with this, the cardboard would force the stuck CD in completely.
4. At this time I had two pieces of carboard in, the one releaseing the latch, and another one forcing the CD in. The second cardboard would bent trying to force the Cd into the magazine. So, what I did was press the eject button several times. Every time I pressed it, the mechanism pushed a bit the CD in and this time, the second piece of cardboard wouldn't let it comeback to the stuck position.
5. Repeated that "Eject-cardboard" procedure like 2 times more and voila... cd and magazine out, no hassle after all and all thanks to God and this site.
Hope this helps and good luck to all, post your comments or questions.
