Evening dudes and dudettes!!! Your tech talk is way above my head...I'm still using a Commodore 64!!!
I see the NH CL...aka "The Stomach"...was causing some trouble in "The Club" this afternoon...received a few warnings from the mods!!! Some folks you can dress up...but...you can't take them anywhere!!!
Sweet idea Pete, but I wouldn't want to have to make a special trip down to the basement every time I wanted to power it up.
The reason I don't want to daisy chain the cables is because somewhere along the line one of the connections will loosen.
Answer to problem 1: Get a REALLY long stick to poke the power button. Or get a keyboard you can program to turn the computer on using a keyboard button. I believe they're out there.
Answer to problem 2: Electrical tape. Ahh the wonders of electrical tape.

If a program can turn the computer on, then it was in hibernation as like the TV that you can turn on via your remote. Both are still sucking up electricity.
If I had to daisy chain cables then I'd use heat-shrink tubing over their connectors for a more professional appearance.
