keys
It is a chipped key. If you have one that works in your vehicle a copy can be made for about $100 from a dealer , but now some key kiosk can cut them as well. If you have 2 keys that work you can make your own copies but be careful if screwed up could be a trip to the dealers for about $400.
I bought 2 blank keys on ebay for $25.00 and my local dealer programed them and cut them for $45.00. so now I have three. I then got another spare made at a local key shop for $22.00 and was able to program myself
If your key has a "S" stamped in it just under the plastic head then it is a "chipped" key. I've posted several times about key replacement in other places. The latest was here; https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...2003-f150.html
