I used a booster/MC combo from a 1990 F-250 in my 1985 F-250. The booster bolt pattern was the same so it dropped right in. All I had to do was get some brake line adapters to get my 85 lines to attach to the 90 MC. The adapters cost me less than $5 for the pair. I'm sure this would work for the F-150 as well.
One thing to note, while the booster bolt pattern was the same, the MC bolt spacing was different. I originally tried to use the 90 booster with my 85 MC and the 2 front bolts on the booster were a little too far apart to accept the older MC. As long as you use a matching combo, you should be fine.

Thanks Sycostang67 did you use the wires that went to the 90 m/c that plugs in to m/c or the pulg for the 85 thats not on the m/c I think it was pluged in down on a block on the brake line again thanks
My 85 didn't have any wires going to the MC so I just left the plug on the newer MC empty. I cant recall if I have a plug going to the distribution block, but if I should I'm sure it's still there.
