Just my 2 cents opinion. What some like, other's don't.

Work in Progress.........

good color choices...

Thanks...the truck was originally all red, and I wanted to create a two tone in the flavor of some of the factory schemes to keep a bit of retro flavor.

For Looks: Late 80's. I love the flat front end with those big square headlights.

For Technology: 1996 because (I know I'll get flamed for this but I don't care) I love OBDII. Simple plug and play emissions test (no tailpipe sniff) and I can design circuits to deliver the desired output if needed to keep the computer happy. Example: See https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...or-defeat.html

For Diesel Engines: 1997 back. I love the 6.9L/7.3L IDI engines and the IDI turbodiesel and the early 7.3L Powerstrokes. I especially like the 7.3L IDI Turbodiesel though.

For vent windows: Well, all the good years of the F-series have vent windows.

'91 is my favorite year because they have the bad a## 4x4 sticker that no other years have. And (anyone else ever noticed this?) the numbers on speedometer go all the way down to zero, most others go to 15.

From the early 80s till late 97 i dont think theres that much difference . Hoods grills Ect . Even the 70s trucks same body shape almost . They really changed in 98 . I have a 95 & 04 150 & like the older trucks more . Body & motor !! Lew

My Mustang is all red and I am sick of it (have been staring at it since '91) but don't want to do a complete color change so have been playing with adding alot of black somehow..maybe a Mach I style theme? Anyway, I don't like alot of what I have seen on the stangs of that era for black/red combos and haven't settled on an idea yet. On your truck, it flatters the lines well and looks like something the factory could have done. It looks great! Go for it....just be sure to post a pic when done.
