yeah, only got one tag this year. bagged a 10 point buck at 20 yards friday evening after he snuck up on my stand and caught me off gaurd. good thing the wind was blowing away from him!! he was doing everything he could to find out if I were a danger to him or not.I didn't have my shotgun in hand, rather my binocs.we played peek a-boo for about 5 minutes before he looked away enough times for me to get my gun in position. second season is the 1st weekend of december, but I won't be going out becuase I only got one tag,and it is filled I am in Illinois by the way

Yeah, I haven't made it out yet. I have two tags, I will be getting out in December. I planned on being out a couple of times already but my plans changed. I should do pretty good I am hunting the same area that I had luck with last year. I am in Illinois also, central, you know south of I-80.

Fellow Illinoisans, you can go on the IDNR website and get another permit online. It just depends on if there are any left for your county or not and you can buy and print them off right there and have a permit for second season or the new third-anterless only season.

I like the North American Hunting Club web site. It is much like FTE and you really feel at home there. Nice break downs for each State. And a friendly bar to spend time at.

Well let me say you use to be able to do that, but I couldn't figure it out this time. I blame it on our genius Governor, somebody's got to take the blame for it and I see his scum sucking face on the IDNR home page!

My hunting websites:

For birddogs and related bird huntiI go to http://www.gundogforum.com/
For general hunting and shooting stuff I go to the Bass Pro Outdoors talk or http://forums.basspro.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

My season is going pretty well here. Tagged a 9 point, doe and a spike. I still have a couple more doe tags to fill, so I will be out all next week hunting! Here is a couple of good sites for the deer hunters:

www.whitetails.com
