It doesn't seem like anybody fully answered the question of when EB's came out,or why there was no Lariat from 92-96,so i'll answer it myself.
EB's came out in 95 for the F-Series,however there were EB Broncos in the 87-91 body style, although I don't know when they started. The EB colors I see on the F-Series are Black,Red,Dark Blue,White, and Green. All had gold lower two tone stripes that ran down the bottom side of the truck.Down here in the south I see alot of 351W powered EB's.I know a kid personally who has a 96 EB 4x4 with a 351.It's currently for sale. The kid takes REAL good care of it and only puts the best parts on it.
As for Lariats, they were introduced in 1985,and I believe were only available as XLT Lariats. My dad personally has an 87 F150 XLT Lariat. They were the top of the line trucks and most were heavily optioned. My dad's has all the options except for power. There's pics in my albums if ya'll wanna see it.The truck was ordered with maual lock and windows.Lariats were dropped in 92 for the new body style, and the top of the line styled F150 from 1992-1994 was just an XLT.
Hope this helps for future reference.
Close, but no cigar. Lariat came out in 1977 as I recall. They were either medium metallic brown with tan pin striping or tan with brown pin stripes. My brother has a four tone Jade Green 1979 Lariat F-150. Bought it new. Has lots of options, but far from all of them. No power windows or locks back then, at least till the 1980 MY Lariat. I owned a 1985 S/C Lariat with Camper Special package.
not if the nuke didnt hit anywhere near me. and a fried coil is alot easier to replace than an ECU. nothin else electric on my truck works anyway. hehe.
Power plants are run off of micro chip controlled devices. No power, no pump gas, no oil. Nothing! Start running now! It's gonna get you!
Whats the story with the two tone. Some have a solid stripe down the side and others only have the lower quarter as a two tone. And what do people like more?

Well that's the last time i'm gonna listen to my old man.He always told me they started in 85.But I probably believed him since i've never seen a Lariat 76-79.But like everyone's been saying, the 76-79 Lariats were way different, cause there weren't all these nice features that you could get in the 80's.lol.
Yep.Because they were very limited edition, and they were only made in 91 and 92.I saw a 92 Flareside Nite 4x4 the other day at the local gas station. It had faded paint, but it was still a nice looking truck.
going from a 93 ranger xlt with no a/c no power windows and no power locks to a 95 f150 eddie bauer feels like a cadillac to me. Of course the 5.0L is alot more fun to punch to the floor than the 2.3L but with that i realized something about my EB. Both are standard cab long bed 2wd's but I think Ford softened the suspension up on the EBs. My F150 has alot of body roll in turns. On some curves i can plow the ranger through at about 65 and hang on to the road. If i did that in my EB i think i'd flip it. So maybe a lariat would be better if they did soften up the suspensions on the EBs

it probably has something to do with the fact that your f150 outweighs your little ranger by about 1000+ lbs, and that it sits a little higher. probably close to 4 or 5 inches higher.
