nite ?? please explain I heard somone call my truck that once

 

the Nite package was available from Ford on the F150s and the Broncos for '91 and '92
it was a completely blacked out truck (trim and everything else) that had a purpley blue stripe that went down the side, from what i understand it is quite rare.

The stripes could also be pink.

 

My buddy has a Nite Bronco. It would be the only rig that I would drive with anything pink or purple on it. I've seen 3 or 4 different Nite Broncos here in town.

 

I bet they didn't put a 300ci in them :-P

 

i bought one about 7 years ago it's a 91 ext cab. from everything i could find out the paint is raven black the strip goes frome the back purple then turns blue as it go's to the front. they came with a 302 or a 351w your choice a few diferent intior pgs to choice from and sport susp and deep dish alloy rimes. appertly they say in 91 only the reg f150 where made then in 92 everything else was but there are a very few everything in 91 no one knows how many where built though

 

There is a '92 for sale in my region right now. It's got the hot pink, almost red stripe down the side. A flareside 4wd with 302 - 5 speed. The truck looks good in pictures, asking price of $2995.....any thoughts?

hmmn that Flare Side has no FlareSide emblem, and on the tail gate, left top side or right?, it should say Nite.

 

I do not belive any NITES came with 4wd, but I could be mistaken.
It's a black out package, but Im sure it had some performance tweaks as well.
My 91 was super fast compared to my 95, or any other f150 i've ever drove. I could easily beat a lot of people.

The NITE came with any combination of 2 to 3 colors of red white and blue.
There will always be a NITE decal on the dash if it is a NITE.

There are flaresides that look like they are NITES, but they are not.
A guy at the college has one. Black covers on the lights. black bumper, but the mirriors are chromed, which is a nono on the NITE's. No chrome. Only thing shiny that would be on a NITE would be the wheels.
I have the aluminum special wheels that came with it. Very nice! I love them on my 95. It makes it really stand out.

In addition to the stripes down the sides and on the dash, the NITE also had a NITE decal on the rear panel just before the tail light.
Black rear bumper, and a black tailgate latch handle as well.
The window trim was also black.
The headlight trim was not rounded either, it was squared off more.
Some f150's come with chromed winshield wipers, nites all came with black wiper arms.
Black grill with a blue embelem.
Typically NITES did not come with a 5 speed or 4wd.
Apparently there never was a 5speed 302 long box either, but I had one. No decals though. I saved the only badge it had before i sold it after the wreck.

After 92, they had a black out style package, which was simmilar to the NITE, but not quite.
The most tell tale sign for if it is a NITE or not is if there is chrome or no chrome.
The flareside is probably just a flareside. They had a diferent package on them.
It looks like a NITE with an identity crisis. But it will say flareside inside on the dash, not NITE like it should.

 

I've seen a true FlareSide NITE 4x4, I know where the GIRL lives maybe I'll take a pic of the truck, on other hand I'll ask her permission first!!!

 

Louie3, You are correct about 4x4 Nites. I have a 92 Nite 4x4 Supercab Longbox 302 E40D with 31x10.5x15's. All original stripes blue--purple w/original Nite decals. Raven Black paint in good condition for its age. I would like to have it painted, But I can't get Nite Decals let alone find Supercab 8 foot bed stripes. I put the exhaust pipe,, Lightning style out the pass.side behind the cab right before the rear tire, I used a Camaro 2x6 rectangle exhaust tip..I just like the way it looks.

 

you cannot purchase original nite decals any longer. if you find originals. buy them quick.
i do not believe there are any aftermarket remakes.

 

Taylan,,,, I hear ya..... you cannot purchase original nite decals any longer From any dealer. I,m sure that there are a few people that have some ex. Bedsides & Tailgate Nite logo's I Saw some on e-bay. But Stripes Agean blue & wisteria (blue & purple ) Supercab Longbox 155'' wheel base as far as I know do not exist.
