I had the recall done in december 07 and 30 some thousand miles later, still running like a top. Gray CPS in there the whole time. Now I am running stock tunes, ever since my tranny went out with the Edge in summer '07. Maybe that's why I haven't had any problems with the gray CPS?

Kevin, if you're truck seems fine then don't worry. I ran a gray one for over 40k and didn't think I had any issues until I stuck it on the scanner. I did notice a smoother idle and better readings with the black one, but if I didn't test it with the computer, I would have never known. Some trucks react worse than others. If you're happy with the gray one, there's no reason to change.
