Well I was driving to work the other day, and you guessed it, blew a tire. Final mileage on them was just shy of 90,000 kms. They would have still been going all summer but it blew bad enough that its no longer repairable!
I also tried looking for one used tire to match up so I could wear the other ones down, but no dice!
I think the Contentals on my 05 maybe orginal and they`re at 94,xxx kms though it`s getting close to time for new ones.
I`ve got afew 16''truck tires I`ve rounded up for my gooseneck trailer if you want to swing by, still abit of thread......
Thanks Morris, i need 17 inch though! I have a full set of 285/75/16 goodyear Mt/r tires with some steelie rims I might throw on for a bit. I was gonna wait to buy new shoes till some of the sales start coming on.
Latest tire I was thinking of throwing on, was a nitto terra grappler from Kal-tire.
I love my goodyear tires, but the service I have been receiving from fountain tire in saskatoon just hasnt been impressing me, so I was considering changing tires, to change shops, not cause I have stopped liking goodyears!
I had a buddy that used to work at market tire, they arent bad. The problem is when you stray from the big stores like kal, or fountain, the prices of tires usually get alot higher.
I did some price checking today, and they arent cheaper then fountain, but do seem ok to deal with.
I did find a smoking deal on some toyo open country mt's and some nitto terra grapplers though. Not ever sure of the name of the shop, little shop on faithful.
I guess it depends on what your idea of a small price difference is
I go for price and service. Sometimes ya get lucky and find a place that has both!
Im gonna shop around, and talk to as many different shops as I can. Being a former tire tech/salesman/shop foreman at a tire shop, I can tell what shops are like pretty quick.
