Who has the best prices on replacement thermostat housings for our trucks? I need to get 4 of them now and the dealer is out of the question here. I have two that are leaking slightly on my own trucks even after rtving them and letting it dry overnight before refilling the water. Also two more trucks I need to replace the thermostat in but I'm not messing with the old housing on other peoples trucks.
Anyone know where to get new ones for a fair price?
Are you talking about the neck out the top of the stat? Cuz the actual housing is the water pump.
If they leak, RTV it back on. I've had to RTV every single one I have replaced, even new. They always leak for me w/o RTV...
The Billet T-stat from Dieselsite is quite a bit shorter than our OBS necks so I don't know if you have to change the upper hose or not. Perhaps someone that has installed one will jump in and clarify this.

Yep the SD neck is different. You could probably make it work with a hose extension but I am not sure I have heard of any one doing it.
I do have both of mine siliconed on right now. One took a couple months to start leaking. The other was the next day and it's just pouring out of it. I even went so far as to sandblast, repaint and straighten out the flange on it, then I siliconed it on with a new gasket. It was all a waste of time.
I am making a replacement for it btw. I have three flanges made already out of 1/2 inch thick aluminum. I am trying to figure out what to do with the pipe part. I'm thinking of pipe threading the flange and screwing in a pipe the same length or I may just weld them together. It's on the back burner till I get all the other projects in the shop done.

I thought the 94.5-95 were the short neck... my bad guys.
