it's a 2000, the previous owner had green in there. I bought some red coolant from napa. since I need to pick up some parts, I'm going to be back there. should I use green instead?

I would use Rotella, Cat, or other extended life coolant- good for up to 300k miles, no need for SCA's.

Wal-Mart has Final Charge, which is the same thing but in a 50-50 blend.

BTW, I REALLY like your S-4 in your sig.
I'll bet that thing will surpise quite a few muscle cars.

ELC? When I was there the only "extended life" coolant I could find was Prestone or similar with a 150k lifespan... aka standard coolant.

Final Charge is ELC, good for 300,000 then add additive, good for another 300,000 miles. The difference is, it's in a 50-50 mix. That is what I have in my system.

it sure does...I lost my exhaust during a winter auto cross, and the car sounded MEAN. It's a 4.2l V8 that gets worse mileage than my 7.3 diesel...
