Coolant

OK, read some of the banter. I have a 2000 F350 7.3.
Should I be using the Red coolant or good to go on the regular green 50 50 pre diluted?

If you run green be sure to keep SCA levels up and check semi-regularly. While the ELC is more expensive, you don't have to worry about the levels near as much as they come pre-charged (I believe Rosella ELC is rated for 750k).

I switched over to red when I did my thermostat/water pump. I'd say run the green until you need to service the coolant system, then flush it out and replace with the ELC.

Bigreentruck, I have been using Chevron Delo ELC in both my 7.3 & 6.0 and plan on keeping it that way, Delo is good for 750,000 miles before change, I think it is worth a few extra bucks up front. Just my 2 cents.
