Not to hijack this thread but,,,,, I have a stock air box on an '01..I have a 6637 on the way..Do I or don't I need the 3 1/2 or 4 inch long exhaust pipe to make this filter work? I'd like to have these additional parts in hand before I tear out the old air box assembly.

I didn't use the exhaust tubing at first. It was a challenge to get the stock intake tube to fit over the filter base, then used 2 clamps to secure it. I recently added the exhaust tubing and it is a much better fit and look. I bought a 4" 45. Pics are in the link in my sig.
