A p-pump for a 6 cylinder engine only has 6 lines but a Bosch p-pump is available for many cylinder configurations including an 8 cylinder and I believe bigger....

Ford owned 10% or so of cummins stock decades ago. By no means is that "ownership" any more than you or I could buy a couple shares in any public traded company. Ford no longer holds any stock from Cummins. That is my understanding of the subject. Unfortunately I could not find any facts to back that up since the intraweb is full of this Ford/cummins debate. Too much garbage to sort through.

So those running higher RPM with different rods than stock don't count? Stock rods won't handle the RPM and pressures that come with it.

i thought that the "p-pump" is only made for 6 cylinder engines while something like a sigma pump has different configurations?
not sure on the cummins ownership but i also thought that ford never owned any part of cummins and that it was all just a rumor..
and with the high RPM thing, i was referring to what would happen on a mostly stock truck, should've specified... our trucks in mostly stock form don't have the capabilities to run "high" rpm... first thing that would happen is valve float and possibly bent pushrods, the rods would be fine unless you're running a decent amount of hp, not high enough to just bend or break the rods anyway but enough that you can actually still produce power up at higher rpm
