not a good start to my morning.

Had it happen twice to two different cylinders. Local shop repaired with helicoil kit after Ford dealer wanted to replace head for a gazillion $$. Second time I was 300 miles from home, bought a helicoil repair kit from a NAPA store and fixed it myself. Traded for diesel after that.

I had a 2002 f-150 that did that. After the mechanic that fixed mine said that he did about 2 - 3 a week. I did not want to wait on the next time I traded for deisel the next week. I was afraid it would happen when i was in the middle of nowhere.
