Is it possible that the remote batteries were strong enough to activate the system, but not send the key code or something like that.....
Reason i ask is I changed the batteries and now its working....but if theres something wrong and its going to do it again in a week i wanna keep workin on it.....
Your remote batteries have nothing to do with it, so long as it’s trying to start, if I had to guess I’d say the problem is either your remote start is being flakey, or there is a problem with the lil coil, either it’s not connected well or there is some interference between it and the reader.
Have you tried leaving a key in the ignition when it’s acting up and seeing if it will remote start then? If that works you’ve ruled out the truck side of things, which is unlikely to be the problem. Here are the possible sources, bad pats bypass module, bad connection between the bypass module and the remote start brain, remote start brain is failing to send the proper trigger signal to the bypass module (bad brain), interference between the coil and receiver (try to adjust it’s position), bad connection between the coil and bypass module and intermittent power to the bypass module. Of those I’d put my money on a bad bypass module, but that’s just my guess.

I guess this is going to be my next try.....remote start worked all day yesterday...probably 15 times during the day after i changed the batteries....go out this morning and walla...no start....now the other weird part is i pushed the button again to cancel the remote start...and then again to start and then it did.....so its really hit and miss.....but dang that leathers cold at 2 degrees above 0 today....i gotta figure this thing out....
