Overhead Gauge Pod

I bought a quad overhead gauge pod to put in my 05. But the pod wont fit between my mirror and headliner. I was wondering if anybody else on here has a overhead gauge pod and has ran into this problem? Thanks

If your mirror is the same as mine try removing the mirror first. It makes the job 100% easier. Then all you do is carefully re-attach the mirror and all is good. One other thing, the back of the pod has to slip between the windshield and the metal lip. Run your finger up where the windshield meets the roof and you will see what I'm talking about.

the overhead gauges are a pain to monitor if you need to pay CLOSE attention to any of them whle driving. they're far enough from your driving line of sight that it's pretty annoying at least for me to look that far away at my pyro while pulling a hill. I had that type of setup on a truck a couple years ago. It looked cool, but wasn't as functional as I'd hoped. worst case on the mounting would require a little trimming, and possible mirror tab relocation.

jmaskey my mirror is not the same as yours. I actually dont know what is up with my mirror but it has wires going to the back of it and a little green LED that lights up on the front. Maybe it is something aftermarket that the previous owner added.

Hmm power smoker thats something im going to have to think about. I would rather prefer to have my gauges on the a-pillar like my old truck was but im not sure if i would want to get rid of the grad handle on the a-pillar...

I looked into buying one of those pods...all the research I did showed that they only worked for yrs up to 2004...don't really know how true that is as I am not sure if any design issues changed with the roof/windshield/headliner between 04 and 05+ models.
