EGR Eliminator

Anyone see this in this months' DP? www.bleproducts.com Not too much info with it.

Wow - $186.86. Some folks on another Forum were selling the same thing in aluminum for quite a bit less.

So once you delete the egr.....how does the computer not make the vehicle run funny?

Can you accomplish the same thing by welding the valve of the egr to itslef preventing it from being forced open, even after disconnect?

I replaced the Turbo up-pipe and the EGR blocker plate. I have no exhaust flowing into the EGR cooler. I do not care if the EGR valve opens and closes, there is no flow anyway (ECM thinks it is working). The only benefit (welding it closed) is if the EGR cooler were to fail and leak, I can not see that happening any more with no exhaust flow ever. I am leaving things alone for now.
