Lightbulb Frame mounted Battery Tray?

Hey all, I'm looking to move the batteries down to the frame, has anyone on here done this or seen it done?

I'd like to clean up the engine bay a little and move my intake to a better spot for airflow. Thanks!

Never heard of this. Don't know where you would put them.

I moved one of my batteries to the frame when I did the conversion. I built a steel tray to hold an aluminum battery box I got at Summit. It's mounted on the inside of the driver's side frame rail, right in front of the fuel tank. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of it.

I believe there is also room on the outside of the passenger side frame rail for a couple batteries, but I already have on-board air there, so that location was not suitable for me.

I also know that the WOP race truck has their batteries mounted on the frame rail.

I think the E series SD's had one of the batts mounted on the frame. There should be a part number for it.

Ok, they do have them, I just cant find a part number for it. It seems the gassers came with the option of an aux battery on the frame. I'm gonna PM Ed and see if he can dig up a number.

Wow thanks a bunch. I have heard about the aux batt as an option but have never seen and part numbers or diagrams. I think two OEM battery trays for you price my be a little steep for me to have it to say I have it, however that is an awsome price compared to list.
Appreciate everyones input!
