Bobs F100 Riverside is telling me lies or is this an undiscovered design

According to 'Honest Bob' over at Bobs F100 at Riverside maintains that the exhaust pipe should be where the battery tray stays...

He writes
I am not sure why you think that the exhaust is where the battery box shoulld be. The battery box is mounted on the outside of the frame and the exhaust is on the inside of the frame.
You are correct that the battery is completely under the cab of the truck, but this is the original design as IMPLEMENTED BY FORD in 1956.
The same battery location can be seen on my truck.
Keep in mind you ordinarily need to check the battery once a year, when you do a tune up........

Er
Can you guys have a quick look under your trucks, I am sure all of yours are in the wrong place.
You can then take them over to Bob Carlisle at Bobs F100 to have them moved over to where ours are....at the same time he can weld a 8 inch battery tray so a small compact car battery fits instead of that stupid big one it takes to start it now,,,,

And I also must be wasting my time checking my battery monthly.

That's crazy. He is right that it is outside of the frame, but that big hole in your truck is the battery access.
I have a 55 but shouldn't the master cylinder be on the drivers side?

it is on the drivers side for his location!..

what the heck is that thing where the battery SHOULD be? exhaust cutouts! Thats why he moved the battery back. dumb place to put them IMHO

the under floor battery has always been right behind the front running board mount arm.

Oh yeah, I forgot where he was.
These pictures alone should be enough to steer anyone away from this guy.

Ummm, why in the world would you want your battery back there with no ease of access? but hey, It's simple to get to your exhaust bolts that need to basically never be checked on after assembly! That setup looks like to me.

I think the name on the battery pretty much sums it up. ;-)

My gosh, is he STILL trying to justify his crappy work??? How can he say these things with a straight face, or without his nose growing 12"??? A 10 year old that has put together a model of the F100 could tell him he's full of sh**. If you open the cutouts you'll boil the battery!

PS: did Bogus Bob do that lower cowl patch too?

Mike, I don't understand why your vehicle is still there? Do you like the pain? How long has this been going on? This person is poison. He will not change!
PS
Just now looking at the background, looks like you have it back in Thailand with you. Kinda wigged out when I read this, knowing some of the history you have shared with us.
What are your plans for the truck now?

That muffler looks way to close to the master cylinder and the muffler bypass looks to close to the break boost. I think I would the mufflers back and move the battery where it should have been all along. Might want to add some kind of heat shield. How close is it in person?

That's why bungee cords were invented.

Nice butcher work to the crossmember. Could have at least boxed it back in for support. And what STUPID place to put your mufflers!!!! Yeah lets let them hang down under the frame and cook the master cylinder too! MORON! And the cut-outs should be in front of the battery shield and point straight out the side. How in heck are you suppose to service the battery anyways?? That's directly under the seat! And that doesn't look like a drop-down batt. box to me!?

And the pop-rivet patchwork on the lower front cab corner/jamb area.. yeah... that's hot... EAT A BAG OF NAILS, YOU HACK!!!

Easy. Just remove the cab.

If you think servicing the battery in that location is hard, try doing it on a PT Cruiser. Looks like Bob got his engineering and design training at Chrysler.
