I have found a couple part numbers for the IPR but not sure what is the right one. Anyone know. I thought the 94-95 had a different one. are the super duty's different than the 96-97?
AN where is tha dang serial number on theses engines? I couldn't find it in the oil slick of an engine I have(fixed leak -to lazy to clean)
Engine serial number is on a flat milled surface next to the oil filter.
IPR Valve
(Ford) F4TZ-9C968-C (engine serial no. 187099 & before or pump no. 255C92)
(International) 1824982C91 (engine serial no. 187099 & before or pump no. 255C92)
(International) 1833798C91 (All Years ???) latest part number
(Ford) F81Z-9C968-AA? (engine serial no. 187100 & up or pump no. 247C91)
Ok the tag on my HPOP is ripped and I can't read it. WHat side of the oil filter. Towards the bell housing? ONly thing flat I see is for the oil cooler
IIRC It's to the rear of the oil filter base (I mean right next to the base) where it bolts to the block.
Are you trying to find the engine serial number so that you know what IPR to get? If so, if your truck is a 97 you need the cheap one (200 some odd dollars) for serial number XXXXXXX & up, not the one with edge filtering for 400 some odd dollars.
