Im pretty sure they are the same. The shop that did mine swapped the kit block for one off their shelf at no charge. Dpubt they would have 2wdfun parts at an offroad 4x4 shop .
I found the Fabtech parts I needed and ordered them. Should be here early next week. Thanks.
Got the new 4 inch lift block installed yesterday. Finally, the truck no longer sags in the back. Now it sets level with the coil spring lift kit in front and spacer kit in the back.
Was in the truck when I purchased. People seem to agree that it is a 6 inch kit, but I don't know for sure. Those are 35 inch tires on it now if that helps.
I have a 2wd excursion and I'm getting a 6 in lift for sure because I HAVE to if i want a lift because of engine weight and shocks. 6in is the only one that will withstand the engine weight. I wanna know what size toyo open country AT i can fit under my rig with a 6 in lift and being 2wd. I'm getting a fab tech lift. What size tire can i put on with a 18 in rim. I dont want cut outs or anything like that. Thanks- NICK
I had a 2wd v10 with 6inch fabtech lift and fit 35s. After a little settling I had to trim the lower plastic valence.
Good luck

Let's revive this old thread even more! We just picked up a 2003 Excursion, 2WD, 5.4L Eddie Bauer. Truck is in nice shape but just a third vehicle to us. I really like it, but I think it sits a but too low. What are cheap options for raising the truck 2"? Can I buy a 2" coil spacer in the front and a +2" shackle block for the rear? I want the thing to stay steering decently down the highway and not eat tires. Will it need a 2" steering drop arm extension? How does the twin I-beam front suspension react to a 2" lift?
I've done a 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift on my old Range Rover, so its not my first rodeo...but it would be on a 2WD truck with independent front suspension.
I'd also like to keep the stock tire size...I think this is the same tire size used on the 4x4 as well? With the 3.73 rear end and the 5.4L V8, this thing is not exactly a rocket as stock...
