Has anyone done the 7.3L van yet?

Has anyone done the 7.3L van yet?

My 2000 Van is quick, really fast for a van.

I have the old, original Black CPS and that has a lot to do
with my great running van.

My question is, Has anyone measured the old resistors they are
removing from the unit? If your putting a 75k in there, what was in the unit
originally?

I have not read all 10 pages in the thread, so don't flame me if it's been discussed. Thanks, Russ

And here is a High Res copy of the electrical and powertrain in the 7.3L,
click on the photo, then click it again to enlarge it., You can download the pic, and then print it. I keep a copy in my van.

Look at the CPS (CAMP) and follow the signal.

Alright, I know this thread is old, so please don't flame me for dredging it up

The resistor called for is a 75k 1% tolerance resistor. I can get 2% tolerance resistors locally. Would that be adequate for this application? If not, does anyone happen to have a 1% resistor laying around? If you do, I can send you an stamped envelope and the cost of the part.

Don't know about the 2% resistor but I think I got one left over from when I did the mod a couple years ago. Pm me with your address and I'll send it out no charge.

Which IDM do you have now ?
If you have the 120v then I don't think you'd benefit much from it.

Wow, I didn't think this was on here! I guess I'll have to check the Ver I have now. Probably the IDM100.

Was there a minimum quantity to order the PPC75.0KXCT-ND?

i see shipping is like 4$ for up to 8 oz, I would probably order 2 or 3 just in case I mess something up with a resistor.

99% sure it's the 110v that was in the early '99s. It's something I've wanted to do for quite a while, and finally decided to actually go ahead with it.
