When I did the idm mod all I noticed was the injector firing being louder and throttle being touchy as heck. I switched to a 120 v SD idm and am very happy with noise and touchiness there.

After running the 140v for years I bought this one What I noticed is quicker throttle response and a smoother idle with the 140v. I thought I would take it one step higher and get this HVHF IDM which I have not noticed much difference. Don't get too caught up in this mod, its not a night and day difference, IMO.

Edit: I never had the 120v so can't answer that.

Hahah i sure try not to get to involved, i do love doing this kind of stuff,my dad always did things like this, guess i picked it up from him,ill stick with fixing this idm 100 for now,if it don't work maybe ill go with the 120 and call it good, that would beat idm 100 at least haha, just a little better anyway,i have been doing anything i can to get more fuel economy and power but more so economy, all has been working well so far,i cleaned the EBPS a couple weeks ago,it helped a lot,it was clogged up bad,i had to drill out the carbon just to get the cable in to clean it,i barley got it in to,do you guys think stage 1 or stage 2 injectors would be a good choice,i was thinking stage 1 would keep me good in the fuel mileage and give a little bit more power, some people at work are telling me to go with stage 2 but i would think thats going to be to much, but i don't know,i don't have a upgraded HPOP or nothing like that,i do have good air in and out though.

Even with stage 1's you'll need a chip and a hpop to get the full potential out of them

Hey ford pride,i do happen to have a Edge Programmer that has the 60 80 and 110 tunes on it,im running it on 80 hp now,it seems to be where it runs the best, will that be ok for stage 1s or should i get custom tunes?i thought about going with the TS or DP Tuner but i have herd its not good to use those types of tuners because it makes the sensors lie or something like that,i don't know how much of that is true hahaha,i have been told to use a programmer because it puts a program on the PCM,to me though it seems like it would all be the same, its changing setting no matter how its done, thats my line of thinking on it hahaha,is any of this correct?

Get rid of the edge, it will destroy your PCM. At the top of the page in the stickies there is a write up on it.
