I know this thread is old and probably dead, but I have only been able to locate 1/4 watt resistors locally. So pretty straight forward. I explained to the guy at the electronics shop what I was using it for and he was pretty sure they would work just fine, so was he right or wrong?

I would not use the 1/4 watt. The info. you need is on post 11 on this thread.
Maybe someone on the forum would offer 1 if they have extras. I think ordering from Digi-Key there is a minimum order.
