Ha! John, I'll bet even your "customers" are easier to get along with on nights.

Boy, you've got that right buddy! And even though we tend to have a larger customer base at night, it's easier to deal with. Plus on nights, in the summer, it makes the heat a lot more bearable..

So the road remains and is in good shape and there is a site located on that road that is zoned properly and is for sale. We'd just have to clear it, grade it, put in a storm water treatment system, and get it approved.

Then we'd have to make sure we pushed the snow back with our truck because the municipal plows don't go very far down that road. But that means we wouldn't get bothered down there either.
sounds like a plan Pete. and 15 acres is a good size plot. you will be able to do mulch, stump grinding, and topsoil there.

having an out of the way spot is a plus, cause there will be no one to complain about the truck traffic, dust, noise, or odors.

Caleb, I was just giving you a hard time. I think you redeemed yourself quite nicely.

I got a visual on that one.

What drives me nuts is when you know the answer to a question, or want to discuss an issue and the person just happens to be a sexist jerk, and they won't even listen to what you have to say. Happens in the tech threads even, every once in a while. What I've never understood is why my having breasts makes me any less knowledgeable or reliable.

I bet! I have no doubts there..

Well...I don't know if I'd ever chicken out and admit that I can't do something. I'll at least try. I might not be very good at it though. However when it comes to arts-crafts and stuff, it all comes naturally to me and it always has. Now on the mechanical side of things - that is usually a challenge for me and I actually have to work at it and use my brain and try .

Man this place is AGGRAVATING- I am currently working at the Provincial Gov't Center, with the IP's (Iraqi Police). I walk into their compound from ours, it's like night and day. They got trash all over the place, and when the cook's trash can get full, instead of umm, throwing it in the DUMPSTER (that is empty BTW) they just dump it on the ground and burn it next to the kitchen. And yes it stinks. Also I am planning on building some sturdy benches for the Social Welfare office, so the widows can have a place to sit as they wait to get their "martyr pay" for losing a husband to war over the past 20 years or so. We gave the Iraqis some of our unused swa huts, or the wooden hooches we built to live in. Me and my Capt asked the provincial head honcho to take some 2x4's fro mthe swa hut to build these benches, and he said no, they need it for break rooms for the guards. Then he asked us about metal detectors we "promised" him. the Capt said he's confused about it, and may have to work on that again. All the sudden the provincial guy said well, maybe we CAN get you that wood, as long as you look into the metal detectors....

This whole country is going to- no scratch that- is hell, and I don't see it ever getting better. There is too much greed here..... gotta hit the gym to take out my anger on some iron....

You are one talented broad...

Sorry, I just had to after Calebs comments yesterday. I cannot believe all the things you are good at Lisa. I am honestly jealous of people with artistic talent. That one passed me up big time. I am lucky to draw a stick figure.

I do not envy you where you are at Danny. What a bunch of greedy bastiches.

Morning all.

Lisa Im the same as you, if someone tells me I cant do something, I will go do it, just cause they told me I cant.

Now regarding the trash sitting around in Iraq, thats gross, like Dan said its probably culture, but I can proudly say Im glad thats not my culture! I prefer to be clean, and somewhat tidy!
