it just took me 45 minutes to get the computer out of my 02 so i could get Clay the computer code.
i was able to unscrew the cable with no problem. then it took me 20 minutes to find the damn thing, and another 20 to figure how to get it out after it was unscrewed.
and now it is raining agin, and the truck is sitting in the end of the driveway with no computer in it.
Cris... I've only had that kind of vacation that one time, and even though I feel the need for another one coming on, I'm afraid it won't be in the cards again until potentially next spring.
Anybody ever had a need to try and settle a dispute with Paypal? I have my credit card as my primary account with my bank debit card as the backup. Well, they hit my debit card for a purchase the other day and caused me an overdraft. I sent in an email explaining all this along with my transaction ID but have not heard back yet. I think they should cover my overdraft.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Im bored! Im trying to figure out part numbers for this and that, write up a few quotes, and I sure hate doing this kinda work. I would rather be outside getting dirty. Or with Lisa getting dirty, but thats a different kinda dirty

Yes Jay, Ive had to TRY to settle a dispute with paypal. Something we bought on ebay, got shipped to us and there was a remote missing, and it was a different model or something then advertised on ebay. We sent it back as per paypal's instructions, and never got money back from the person we bought it from, and paypal told us there was nothing they could do for us.
If I ever meet someone from paypal, or someone telling me they once sold a satellite system without a remote and falsely advertised it, they are gonna get a punch in the nose

Jay, I've been through two different scenarios with Paypal, one of which is exactly what you're talking about, but mine got complicated by the fact that Paypal automatically re-tries to collect the funds every 24 hours, and that happened 3 times before I could get the funds into my bank account, so I ended up facing 3x$25 = $75 in overdraft charges from my bank... al because I followed Paypal's ill-written and "not thoroughly explained" procedures!! Nope.... never got any money frmo them on that one, either!
On the other hand, Experience #2 was much better and completely to my own satisfaction. I bought something small ($18 worth of office supplies) and never received it, even though the seller said they were shipping it right out. The seller would not communicate with me at all, so i took it to Paypal after 3 weeks of emailing and calling the seller. Paypal took 30 days to evaluate the issue, but credited my account back with every penny.
So, for me, on an event-based percentage, Paypal is batting .500, but on a financial basis, they're only batting 0.193.

that is why i only have a credit card listed.
if you have a bank account listed, it will automatically charge to the bank account.
i had a guy burn me on a radio.it was delivered dead 2 weeks after the auction ended because he sent it media mail from cali, and i returned it first class mail. then i waited 3 weeks with 12 emails asking for either a working radio or my money back. ebay told me too bad, we don't do that buyer protection thing anymore. paypal told me that since it was over 45 days, i was S.O.L.
so i called the credit card.
they opened an investigation. the guy told the credit card company to pound salt, he was not giving me anything back. 10 days later, i was issued a full refund, plus shipping to send the radio back, and they back charged it to the guys credit card.
