One tip if you're going to be running a register:
Never put the $ in the drawer until the person accepts their change.
That way if they have an issue with their change you can show them look. This is exactly what you gave me. Here is what I gave you. What is the problem?
When I was working on the register last year on my first day I had a lady say she gave me a 50 when she actually gave me a 20.
I didn't listen to my boss and had put the $ in the drawer already. Fortunately it was first thing in the morning so I had no 50s in my drawer and I showed her and sent her away.
Just a little word of advice from someone who almost got screwed over.
