well, the truck spent the first 5 years in Michigan. I thought they used a lot of salt on the roads around here, the roads were completely white when I went there to pick the truck up in Dec. 06. It's like they don't use sand at all, just pure salt.

every thing is all good on my end mike. It was a work trip, spent some time floating around in the middle of the cheasapeake and delaware rivers.

Hi Dave, good to have you back. I take it that you weren't just fishin'? Hey Mike, I had to replace the diff cover and oil pan on my 97 last spring, both had rusted through. Now after the need to plow snow is past I need to replace the slave cylinder, it leaks like a sive. Have to ether drop the transfer case and transmission or pull the engine.

Have you tried to price one from a salvage yard? I installed a remanufactured one on an F250 for someone a few years ago, I seem to remember my cost for it being three hundred something.

ah yes the pitman arm seal. i think those steering gears have a snap ring in the bottom if i remember right. i have done many of them..
nick you know what i meant...

not a fishing trip, I was working about 18 hours a day for the last two weeks.

i know what you meant jack, last summer i went through a bottle of power steering fluid a day i tryed to plug it last summer and that didnt even work but that was expected

yes it is annoying but you got to love the ''ford'' whine,thanks ford79 i think ill buy a new box for it instead of rebuilding it,dont have a garage to do it in
