it also depends on the weather/humidity/barometric pressure that sort of things.
does have an effect on your body.
i have what they call impigment syndrome. i have had it for years.
well nick,
its painfull at times! its kind of hard to explain. but i'll do my best here!
have you ever had your shoulders dislocated? the tendens and or nerves get pinched between you shoulder bones and the rotator cuff. and the only way to correct it is with surgery! and i don't have the money for it.. so i have to live with it like have been for the last 20 years. my doctor told me to stop driving stock cars and thats where it came from. and being a mechanic all my life don't help!! roll over crashes don't help either! none were on the street only the race track!
ohthat **** hurts, that has got to be the worst thing to feel everyday, did you listen to the doctors at all,i myself would never give up racing or anything they would have to pry my cold dead body from a car
nick,
i'm sore but over the years i have dealt with it... yes i do.. thats why i'm selling my stock cars my wife my doctors yes i do! my mom and my dad says i should quit that foolishness because i'm getting to old...get a hair cut and get real job.....
yes it hurts but i just take my mind off of it.. so its not bad,yes i'm in pain but i can handle that, just nagging pain! i take 1200mg of ibprofen a day and some days i don't take anything and i just go out and work in my yard. it takes my mind off of it.
so i focus on what i'm doing!!! not the pain!!
your a man that is tough, even though you have to sell the race cars but u gotta do what you have to,for some people they would give up and say screw it,but for other people they dont worry about it and carry on,i myself fell on my left knee so much at my jobs that i have to pull my leg in to the car or truck cause the pain is unbareable and i have my days when i just want to lay in bed and say f... it,but i wont lay down i just keep going and some day ill be like my dad having to use a power chair to get through the house cause my body is to messed up from working hard for little money, my dad has pinched nerves in his back, diebeates, and his leg like to give out on him,he used to be a farmer, mechanic, welder and a factory worker,i myself have had 7 different factory jobs in 2 years cause of the way the econamy is and ill probably have 7 more next year but thats life you take what u can i myself have a wife and a 5 month old baby i keep working hard to support them and to keep myself from going crazy some people my age thinks money is handed to you but its not you have to earn it and do whatever job pays you, guys like you should get medals for all the pain and suffering you go through everyday to make a living
nick,
i wished i can tell you something else but no i can't!! you work hard i understand..
and you want to show your wife that.. do me a favor don't kill yourself in the process..
i have a step son thats in the U.S,ARMY and one at home yet, they are 22 both of them.. yes twinns.. and i'm 47 years old. in may i'll be 48.. i love my wife and i'm proud of my sons.. i've been a mechanic for 25 years and i can't get a job right now! my dad bought a truck class 8 big rig and i have to change professions.. and go on the road
because nobody is hiring mechanics..
truck driving is the only kind of job where i live and one mechanics job but i dont have the education or the money to do either so my only option is factory work right now which no one likes to do but it pays right now, i get unemployment which sucks too cause it makes me feel lazy, and i go crazy sitting at home with nothing to do,i hope your step son is in a somewhat safe area over there,im sure somedays he doesnt like his job,i wouldnt want to be over there but i would like to thank him for serving his country,i heard truck driving doesnt pay well either but if its a job u can do and its the only opition, well i guess u have to take it,im trying to get into bartending school(my wife is too) its he cheapest school i can get into,$25.00 for a one night class,i wanted to be a mechanic or a welder, but that doesnt look like its going to happen right now. i have a somewhat seasonal busness, its snow plowing, but i only have one truck so if the truck ****s out im screwed if someone calls, didn't make much this year cause of plow problems and a broken transmission line,i wont kill myself though for any job, my last big job i had was a slaughter house,i was a janitor so i saw everthing and cleaned everything,i had to haul 4 sometimes 8 4foot tall garbage cans of wasted meat a night each can weighed 300 pounds i had to haul them through the whole plant which was a mile long down to the kill floor with a nonelectric palletjack and that just about killed me my eyes would roll in he back of my head as i did it,my face would turn red by the end of the night i couldnt even climb in the truck, i would space out going home and forget where i was and this job payed only 8.50 an hour,i will never do a job like that again i will take a grocey store job before i would take a job like that again its not worth it
nick,
man calm down!! truck driving pays about 30 to 40 cents a mile. owner op
is about 1.53 a mile. the more miles more money.
and i'm a class 8 mechanic and a certified D.O.T. inspector ...
someone told me that i was the same as 10 years ago, how much is the licence and class the truck driving place here has a class but they check your credit and my credit is not so good same with my driving record, im trying to come up with a name for my plowing ''business'' got any suggestions Jack im going a little with this,im perfectly calm just wired or over tiredi have ADHD so i bounce off the walls a little dont want to be away from the family too much, you know that is if i can drive truck
Nick, ever think of getting into road construction? It pays good and with the "stimulus plan" that is going on, there will be a lot of road work coming up this year. This is probably what I'll end up doing again this year, even though I don't want to. I much prefer commercial building, but there isn't much of that going on anymore.
