Hey guys, another newbie here with a few questions. First off let me say that I enjoy reading all your posts. You guys are a wealth of knowlege, and I'm already catching that PMS! I want to do some of the mods I'm hearing about and actually already ordered a 2 speed rear-end switch for my EBPV exhaust brake! I got a some quick questions that I know you all can probably help me with. Sometimes at start up my engine runs as if it's out of time or only running on about half the cylinders. It shakes real hard and either dies or sometimes I can hit the throttle and it clears up. I think it only does it on a warm start after it's been run down the road and then started back up. Also, when idling I can hear a faint rumble from underneath the cab. I can just put my foot on the clutch with little or no pressure and it goes away. Just a couple of many questions to come I'm sure.
Oh BTW, I've had my truck about 2 months as an upgrade from my 92' 7.3 non-turbo. It's a 95 f-350 CC 2x2 5spd. Only things I know that have been done is a K&N filter and looks like a 3" downpipe, no cat.
the clutch squeak could just be the throw out bearing.
the violent shakes could be a few things. first off unplug the icp sensor while it is acting up. if it smoothes out right away then that is your problem. if not then look at the trans range sensor. they have been knowm to cause some mischief

First with the hard start, it sounds like maybe you need to either tightn up the IPR or install a new seal kit for the IPR.
Second the K&N is not such a good thing. I would suggest getting a 6637 Filter from NAPA or calling Dale at Tymar and getting a Donaldson filter. Dale is cheaper than going to NAPA though. Also do you have any gauges? That's another thing to consider getting installed.
Thanks for the quick replies guys. As for unplugging the icp, it doesn't run like that long enought for me to unplug it. After it dies then it usually starts up fine.
Please excuse my newbieism but what is IPR? I've also read on here about how the k&n isn't a good thing. I think I want to do the 6637, do you have a link of the list of parts I'll need. Also I want to get boost and pyro's to install. Any suggestions on where to put the pyro, manifold or after turbo? Thanks again guys!
The IPR valve is the injector pressure regulator it is located on the back of the High Pressure Oil Pump. The O-rings wear out over time causing hard starts when the engine is warm. As for the 6637 you can either go to NAPA and get a 6637 filter or call Dale @ Tymar and he can set you up with everything you need. Put the pyro pre-turbo. Post turbo temps are not accurate glad we can help
is the k&n filter a drop in for the stock box or a whole intake system if its the whole system your alright thats what i have and it works great i check all the time and no dusting
