I'm almost finish with my 05 conversion. The only problem is that the guy at my body shop does not know how the side bumper brackets mount of the frame.I went to as Keystone where the parts came from and they do not have any kind of pics,I know high tech right. Is there any one out there who has a PDF of what the "crash"parts mount to the frame.thanks
My side brackets aren't bolted to the frame, when my boss installed the warn semi hidden kit, he left them loose. I suspect even though we have different bumpers, that near the edge of the bumper you have an A frame style bracket that bolts the side of the frame, probably near the miata bar bracket. Because you are using a different bumper with probably the older miata bar, you may have to make a short bracket to get it all to bolt up.
I took some pics of my 03 that was converted to an 05 front. I'll post em up when I get home from work later tonight.
The bracket with the 90 degree bend is what goes to the frame, and off to the bottom corner of the bumper. The skinny one goes on a 45 degree angle from the upper corner of the bumper down just in front of the other bracket and attatches just in front of the 90 degree bend in teh other bracket. Hopefully that makes some sense lol.
I think this is what you need, let me know if you need another angle or something, this is the best I could do with my cell phone camera. This is form the wheel well just over the edge of the tire looking forward.
