Keystone Clamps

Keystone Clamps
I am trying to remove my driveshaft.
I have it disconnected at the rear axel, but the other end (slip yoke) won't slide all the way off of the spline shaft that protrudes from the carrier bearing.
It (slip yoke) seems to have a band of some type on the end with a greese fitting on it, and I think the Haynes manual refers to it as a Keystone clamp.
Does this have to be removed first, and how do you remove it. ??
It appears to contain a rubber oil/grease seal.
Does anyone know about this ??
I just realized it's not called a keystone clamp, I guess a keystone clamp is just one of those bands that secures rubber boots like on a CV.
It's more like a rubber lined cup which acts as an oil/grease seal.
How do you remove it ??
