Dee Zee 23 no longer in production :(
Anyone have any of these DZ23 steps they are not using?
On the sound advice of this forum, I tried to purchase some through Amazon, later to find out they are not being made any more. I called Dee Zee and they confirmed. Dee Zee also said last shipment went out to Keystone Automotive Aug 2014. I called Keystone and listened to a recording for 10 minutes...and hung up. It also sounds like they are a distributor not a reseller to the public anyway.
I called the first 10 google hits for the DZ23 steps to see if anyone might have some left in stock - nope.
Anyone have any they want to sell me?
Recommendations for a different frame mounted step?
Thanks!
JT

Did you try NewEgg: Dee Zee DZ23 Brite-Tread; Tough Step - Newegg.com
Says they're in stock, but I didn't call.
I wouldn't hesitate to fab up a set of my own instead. You could make them look just like the 23's.

$218.00? Holy Mackerel!!!!!!!! Find a chunk of aluminum tread plate and a bandsaw and make your own.
I just scrapped about 10 sets of Dee Zee running boards that I had in stock since 1996… couldn't find anyone who wanted them and I was sick of hauling them around to every darn swap meet I went to… no action on CL either so off they went...

But hey it sounds like the OP really wants him a set of them. I was just showing him where some were in stock. I wouldn't pay that much either... it's MUCH more enjoyable and satisfying to design, fabricate, install, and enjoy something like that myself.
Plus, nobody can point at your (steps/bumper/whatever) and say "hey I had/have those on my truck too!"...

That's what I said.

As for their worth or value, it's all relative. I guess I'll go buy some welding and metal fab tools and make my own....yea right
