I need to replace my interior dome light, perferably with an original style one but im open to suggestions and I'd love to see what ppl in this forum are using and where it came from. Also i believe from other posts that there is only 1 wire going to the original light.
3 years back I ordered one from LMC and turned out they sent me a real NOS ford part! No telling if thats still what they do though. I thought it was one wire, and grounded through a bolt tab or something?
Depending on if it was just a straight dome light or if it came with the map light option that is the two wire light, one is constant 12 volts for the map light function the dome part of the light is switched 12 volts form the door switch or the head light switch.
Bill, How do I get one of the dome light covers? My 73 needs one! And I might as well get one for my 77, I put one of those cheesy HELP covers on it,,, so I need 2, how do I go about ordering them?

Need in a hurry?
Jim Burke Ford in Bakersfield has one, Bill Brandt Ford in Brentwood (near Benecia) has two.
sorry to gravedig, but seems relevant to this thread...
is the dome/map combo light interchangeable with the standard dome light?
my dome light housing is more or less a fossil, and it'd be nice to have map lights, i can run the extra wire pretty easily.
