I'll tear into it in a little bit guys. Gotta get the starter back in my car and get that out of the garage.
I'm seriously considering getting rid of all of this EBPV stuff. I'm guessing either the tube or the sensor mout are clogged or the sensor is bad. The tube looks OK , at least the outside of it. My mileage has been right at 10mpg for the last few tanks now, where as before I was getting 14-15. I even took it really easy on this last tank and it netted me .76mpg better than the tank before.

Tecman if you get 19 to 21 mpg like i do than leave it alone, just pointing out things that let it breathe easy.

There's a butter fly that is bolted to the turbine that close's some when it is cold to help warm the engine up, it is controled by oil temp and the exhaust back pressure sensor. Delete all this junk and let it breathe.

well when my sensor was clogged I got worse mileage than having it all working. Im happy with my 16 mpgs and not deleting the EBPV. It helps to warm the truck up faster so I can get the heat goin'.

I got it taken apart today. No clogged tube, sensor or the sensor mount. Tube is in excellent condition and looks new. My guess is the sensor crapped the bed. For now, it is all still off the truck. Any harm in leaving it like this? I plugged the fitting coming out of the manifold and the wire for the sensor is tied out of the way with a zip tie.

Did you remove the sensor and tube? What broke in half?

Here is what I use to plug the fitting in the manifold. It is an adapter fitting I had laying around. Appears to be 1/2" straight thread, not pipe thread.

Yes, had too remove both to clean them. The tube had a rust spot/split, sensor was plugged. They r back on, but I need to know WHAT size & TYPE of fitting. The TUBE broke in 1/2 cuz of rust & split
I ordered the parts cuz I'm pretty sure the sensor isn't working either. BUT I HATE BEING STUCK!!!
thanks
