Does anyone know if the o5 sd has a light for low washer fluid? i can see plugs in the tank but when i run out there is no light on? or did ford just cheap out some more?
The connectors probably for the pump. The easiest way to tell, check your owners manual. If you don't have one, run it till it's dry. If a light comes on, bingo. If not you either don't have one or it's burnt out. I don't believe my 06 has one.
Wow some people just have to complain. Put a gallon in it and go on with your day. If it had a light you would be on here complaining that it came on and you still had enough fluid for 2 wash cycles, then somebody would say they get three cycles and you would want to warranty a whole new bottle. No there is no light. There is also no light that tells you the window is down, or that the tailgate is unlocked, its a truck not a 747 how many lights do we really need?
My 99 Ram had it, it is nice to have, once the light came on I'd always pick up a new jug, then run it dry and filler up, never ran out in an inconvenient place with no fluid in the truck to refill with.
There isnt a low washer fluid lights on these trucks to my knowledge. Just fill it up and be done with it. I wouldnt call out Ford for cheaping out by not installing a low washer fluid indicator. They just focused their attention on more important things like the best payload and towing capacities in the class.
