cheapest exhaust

my exhaust guy said that he would put a kit bought by me on my truck... which brings me to my next question what is the cheapest turbo back 4" or 5" exhaust out there...i dont car if it is just aluminized it doesn't matter I just want the exhaust for sound and to drop my egt's i thought the flo-pro was the way to go but i thought maybe there were some cheaper kits that come with down pipes

MKO Power - Quality Diesel Products At Competitive Prices

pretty sure he is a sponsor of the site as well, I have been running his kit for almost 2 years, its been good for me, I started with a 5" system but have since changed it to 5" into dual 4" with a muffler. I plan on removing the muffler again though and will likely use him to order my pipes that I need for it.

If you're going to go cheap, just put a cat and muffler delete in the stock system. That will open it up quite a bit and lower EGTs.

Whether its stock exhaust with cat and muffler delete or aftermarket turbo back, they are both a straight pipe and will sound similar.

I used MKO as well. I believe I paid $365 shipped for a 4" turbo back w/ cat delete and a 4x6x20" chrome tip. I highly recommend them.

There is very little difference in sound between a 4" or a 5". What sound difference you have comes from what's underneath the hood more then it is the exhaust itself. Also with a 5" system it'll be more laggy on the low end due to the exhaust first will expand in the pipe before it pushes outward, due to the fact your not going to be flowing enough fuel and air with a stock setup to quickly fill that pipe up and push it out quicker. It happens with a bigger setup(bigger turbo, injectors) but it's quicker to recover then a stock setup. Only way I know to get around that is to run when of the more overfueling tunes that you have(street race, street comp, up to full blown competition race) that'll put enough demand for fuel to help get around that lag. Not something I would do personally on the street, but that's how I would think you would be able to get around some of the low end lag that you'll have with a 5" system and a relatively stock truck.
