Hello,
I'm new to the site and have a question. Last night while I was driving it looked like my passenger headlight went out so I stoped and bought a new pair. When I got home I checked the headlights and they were both on the passenger side was just alot dimmer than the driver side. I didn't think about it too much and changed the bulbs out any way, but when I checked them after the swap one is still dimmer than the other. Does anybody have any sugestions I have no idea where to even begin. Everything is stock no fog lights and no DRL's. Thanks,
next time you pull the bulb off the passenger headlight socket, look and see if there is alot of white powder covering the terminals on the socket.
if so try cleaning that or replacing the headlight socket itself (less than 10 bucks usually).
On my 2000 truck i had a problem with the drivers side bulb almost putting out zero light (the parking light was brighter), well i thought it was a bad bulb so i bought two new ones to do both sides. Ended up being the headlight socket after talking to a guy on another ford forum who suggested that was most likely the problem.
