OMFG!!!

I found a chafed wire, was grounding out and shutting down the passenger side injectors.......

while the truck was in limp mode no power was going throu the wires, i had my daughter crank the truck over and while clearing the code! I found it!! shocked the living crap out of me!! cut out bad spot soldered back together and put some heat shrink on, then put a large piece of heat shrink around the whole harness where it rides on the vc, I am not quite sure why when i ohmed those wires from plug to plug it did not show up then but it didnt.... just goes to show.. check, double check, and then get the crap shocked out of you!!

Thank you everyone for the help and support!! you guys are the best around and I value all of your help!! hopefully I can help someone along the way one of these days!!

Yes, that has been a problem in the past. I have read posts about the harness rubbing on the driver's side valve cover.. Everyone should check theirs. Glad you got her fixed...

what is a UVHC

OK guys, I gotta ask what a UVCH is. I figured out the VC was for valve cover, although when i first saw it I had flashbacks and started looking for my M60.

Got it, thanks. I've seen it just didn't know the acronym.

I think I’m having this same issue currently. I’ve swapped so many parts and connectors and still have my passenger side not firing. By chance do you remember what wire was chaffed? Sorry I know it’s 15 years later.

Great walk down memory lane here.

Prolly a chaffed wire on the 42 pin harness that drapes over the driver side valve cover. See pic.

But best thing to do is start your own new thread with pics as needed.

Got a way to read the codes?
